2010 Tuaran' Harvest Festival.

I woke up early this morning. Because today is the day i waited the most for this month. Today is the Grand Final of Unduk Ngadau 2010 for Tuaran District and my cousin took part of this big event. 

Last night, me and Popok decided to meet at 11am and directly going to Dewan Tun Hamdan for reserve some seat for our family. Unfortunately, we failed to do it on time. LOL! Popok and i met at 12 and we arrived at the Hall around 1PM (we went for lunch at KFC). But then, Kak T already reserved a seat for us. 

Ledesma Steven. Contestant Number 12. She is my cousin who took part for this competition. She is already a frontrunner since the audition day because she is very well-known in entire Tuaran-Tamparuli of always winning every Unduk Ngadau Pageant she took part. She always went home with a crown on her head.

This year Unduk Ngadau Tuaran was a very though competition. All girls who joined was well-experience. I call this year as "Unduk Ngadau AllStar". We have Ledesma who was known with her ability to grab the crown, Frederica Fabian who was well known as the "1st Runner Up curse" but then eventually won a crown of a few competition, Jaenica Sipin who was also an ex-queen, and many more girls from Kiulu and Tamparuli. Oh, we also have Diani Kayar, the stewardess, a beautiful stewardess who try her luck for 2nd attempt. She was 4th runner up last year.

There was an incident happened in the hall, where there was one girl, i still remembered she wore purple shirt and she has short hair and suddenly Shouted out loud :

P*K*M*K!P*K*M*K!PUKUL!PUKUL!

she sat just at the back of the VIP Seat and one of the VIP turned back and stared and her because he was curious of what had happened. Then, the girl slapped him. OMG! The guy's face turned red and he was getting angry. The Hall became so silent at that moment until the RELA's crew came and save the day. I found out that she is OKU and she get offended by someone who laughed at her. She already appologised with that VIP guy (which i dont know why he sat as a VIP maybe he was a sponsor or whatever). And, I found out that she is the younger sister of last year Unduk Ngadau Inanam 2009.

The event starts at 2PM and all of us in the hall began shouting and shouting for our favourite contestant. Jaenica was the 1st contestant of the night, Frederica was the 4th contestant and my cousin (Ledesma) 12th. Ledesma looks soooo stunning that day. No.6 Hair Gong (Besar sanggul dia) and red lipstick. So striking and Gorgeous. we were so happy.

First Round was the introduction round where each contestant need to speak on their mother-tongue language for an introduction speech. After that they will do the catwalk in front of the judges and the VIP. After first round, all the contestant went back to the backstage and only eight contestant will be in the 2nd Round. While waiting for this round, we went out to the nearer restaurant to eat.

The 2nd Round started about half an hour after the 1st round and all the All-Star Contestant were in the TOP8. Diani, Ledesma, Frederica and Jaenica. For this round they're required to answer one question from the envelope. For most people, this is the most scrariest moment of the competition. But, all of them are equally strong and cool. They were very confident of themselve and they showing they communication ability in front of everyone. Very though competition.

Final Round.

For this round. From Eight contestant they will eliminate three contestant and only five contestant will going to the final round. Everyone getting very nervous because the announcer of the day WILL NOT announce who will be going to this round. The contestant will be going up to the stage by herself. One singer will sing an "Unduk Ngadau" song and bring the TOP5 to the stage one by one.

GUESS WHAT? 

Frederica, Jaenica. Diani and Ledesma were in the TOP5!!

That day was soo freaking crazy like everyone were unsure who will going to be the winner. There was no final walk of last-year queen because the queen just get married and she cannot attend the event. Jaenica was announced as the 4th Runner Up and Frederica was announced right after her as the 3rd Runner Up. On Final Two, Ledesma and Dianni holding hands and akwardly smiling infront of everyone.

Ledesma was announced as the Unduk Ngadau Tuaran 2010 and Dianni come 2nd. She representing Tamparuli.

Congratulations!! Cant wait for Kaamatan Final in KDCA.
